Author Biography

Lynn MacKaben Brown loved working in her parents’ bookstore. While attending the bookseller conventions, she enjoyed talking with authors and publishers—an opportunity that would come in handy when she became a writer.

During nursing school, Lynn wrote an article for RN magazine and Moody Monthly. After graduation, she continued writing for national and international magazines, and wrote a newspaper column on ancient history for children.

Meanwhile, she used her writing in her day job: charting as a floor nurse, writing policies and procedures as Director of Nursing, and creating curricula as an assistant professor.

After her children became independent, Lynn turned her sights on becoming an author. She accomplished that goal with her first book, Christmas Celebration. She is now working on an historical fiction series beginning with Furs and Fevers.
